Jordan Sitbon (EDHEC 2018) launches My Little Tv, allowing friends to bet on their favourite shows

During his time at M6, Jordan Sitbon (EDHEC GE, 2018) noticed that reality TV shows generate massive interest and that viewers engage in betting with their friends. This gave him the idea to create an application that would allow users to bet on the outcome of TV shows: My Little Tv.

What’s the pitch for your start-up?

My Little Tv is the first application that allows you to make predictions about your favourite shows, whether on your own or with your friends.

Place your bets in front of your screen with My Little Tv!

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I was sure he was going to be eliminated”, “I knew it would work out that way” or “I told you he was going to leave!” while watching a series or TV show?

At last you have the chance to show your friends that your intuition is spot on. With My Little Tv, you can make predictions about your favourite shows.

Get a series of right answers to win medals and reach the top of the table!

Tell us how your company came about

After working for a year at M6, I realised that TV programmes generated massive interest, especially among younger viewers and on social networks. Unlike the sports world, there was no application allowing them to bet on the outcomes of TV shows (e.g. who would be eliminated in the next episode of Pékin Express). So I started looking for a team to develop this application and met my associates, Benoît and Vincent, via a networking platform.

What is your initial assessment of this entrepreneurial adventure? What advice do you have for young entrepreneurs?

As a young entrepreneur myself, I haven’t yet developed enough perspective to offer any advice. I think it’s important not to be afraid of changing your plans and your initial idea so you can be flexible enough and listen to the advice people give you.

You graduated with an MSC from a GRANDE ECOLE, how has this education helped you on your journey as an entrepreneur? What has this degree given you?

My education at EDHEC gave me sufficient ground knowledge to tackle the many different missions a CEO must take on. When you create a start-up, you have to do a little bit of everything (communication, strategy, finance). The EDHEC network was also a great help, with graduates always willing to lend a hand whenever I had a question.

I also had the opportunity to join the EDHEC incubator, which supported us and gave us advice on strategic decisions.

What are your expectations from the community of EDHEC graduates?

We are always on the lookout for useful advice to help us reach out to the widest possible audience with My Little Tv. Our biggest expectation when it comes to the community of EDHEC graduates is help raising funds, particularly through the Business Angels.

What’s next for your business?

Now that the development phase for My Little Tv is over, the next step for our business is to gain enough active users to be able to raise funds. To achieve that, first we need greater visibility. Then we hope to be able to do a second version of the application and add new functions.

You will find us on Instagram and Facebook and, most importantly, you can download the application on app stores. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch by email (jordan.sitbon@edhec.com).
