Emmanuel Viellard (Master 1986), Deputy CEO of LISI, nominated EDHEC person of the year for 2015!
For the 25th EDHEC Rendez-Vous which took place on Thursday 11 June, the EDHEC awards for 2015 were received by four of our graduates. Here is a look back on the career path of our new EDHEC person of the year: Emmanuel Viellard.
Emmanuel graduated from EDHEC in 1986. He started his career with Arthur Andersen and in 1995 joined the family-owned group, LISI, the leading player on the European market for fasteners and assembly components for the aerospace, automobile and cosmetics industries.
Founded in 1899 by the Kohler and Dubail families, the company joined forces in the 1960s with two major family dynasties in the region, Japy and Viellard-Migeon et Cie. Under the influence of Emmanuel Vieillard, the group has strengthened its international dimension, its capacity for innovation and above all the performance of its industrial output to provide tailored solutions for the needs of its major clients. LISI is now recognised as the leading company in its three areas of business: aeronautics and the automobile and medical industries. Its largest clients include Airbus, Dassault, Rolls Royce, BMW, Chanel, L'Oréal and Clarins.
As EDHEC person of the year, Emmanuel takes over from Amélie Vidal-Simi (Master 1989), CEO of Henkel France.
“Emmanuel Vieillard embodies the strength and adaptability of our graduates working for international groups, something we strive to pass on to all of our students. They are the best ambassadors to represent the success of EDHEC Business School internationally, as well as our management expertise and values of responsibility and innovation – key strengths of this institute for over 100 years”. Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School
