On 16 December, around a hundred alumni gathered on the Paris campus to take part in the launch of the brand new Club pro Sport Business, whose ambassadors are Jade Beyrens and Clément Blachon.

The Sport Business Club aims to bring together the community of alumni active in the sports sector, to encourage the sharing of experience, to develop synergies for networking and to promote mutual support around professional opportunities. The club will organise networking events, themed round tables, cross-cutting meetings such as sports sessions, and will provide representation to networks in the world of sport. A survey has been launched to gather members' wishes.

For its first event, the club offered a look back at Paris 2024. Nearly 300 EDHEC alumni were involved in the event to varying degrees: 15 top sportsmen and women, around fifty COJOP employees, partners, torchbearers, volunteers and runners in the Marathon Pour Tous. 10 of them agreed to share their best memories and answer questions from the audience.

  • Laurence Schwob, Master 1990, Director of France2030 Development and External Growth for the France Télevisions Group, came to talk to us about France 3's ’Aux Jeux Citoyens!
  • Julien Mameaux, Master 2003, shared with us his emotions as a torchbearer in Liévin, 50km from EDHEC.
  • Charlotte Desbonnets, BBA 2019, former Travel Project Manager / Deputy Manager - PARIS 2024, took us through the panic of the SNCF sabotage and the disappointment of the bad weather on the day of the opening ceremony.
  • Florent Beaudon, Executive MBA 2018, HR, CSR & Internal Communications Manager at Thalie Santé, and volunteer in the Olympic Village, told us how it felt to be part of the guard of honour accompanying the French team to the Opening Ceremony.
  • Hugo Gesta, Master 2022 and former Spectator Experience Project Manager - PARIS 2024, spoke passionately about his involvement in organising the Rugby Sevens events, the first to be held at this Olympic event. He also spoke about his experience of running the Marathon pour Tous.
  • Claire Goyon, Master 2019, former Innovation Integration Project Manager - PARIS 2024, presented the Marathon Pour Tous Connected project, in which she was particularly involved.
  • Nathalie Van Vliet, Master 1986, Senior Consultant at MIJOHIKA Conseil, and Volunteer at Versailles and the Stade de France, moved us with her testimony of close accompaniment of athletes and blind spectators.
  • Antoine Joli, Master 2021, former CRM Project Manager - PARIS 2024, took us back to the fervour of Club France, which was on fire every evening.
  • And last but not least, Julian Clobus, Master 2011, Brand and Product Marketing Director, FraBeLux - VISA, official partner of Paris 2024, presented the entire Visa Go system, with a poster campaign designed as an open-air street art exhibition to support the launch of the mobile app.

A cocktail party then gave participants the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange best practices and get inspired in the positive atmosphere of pride created by the memory of the Games.
