Jeunes Créateurs Talons Aiguilles: 20 years running

01.26.2015

11 generations of members from the Talons Aiguilles association came together on 9 January on the Paris campus to celebrate a competition that has been running for 20 years. This was an opportunity to look back over 20 years of Talons Aiguilles and also to learn more about the careers of those involved.

Following a splendid retrospective put on by this year’s team entitled “Jeunes Créateurs: 20 years in existence”, which included many anecdotes and shared memories, three graduates took to the stage to give an account of their careers since they left EDHEC. Our thanks to Rozen Clech-Heron (Master EDHEC 2000), Claire Giansily (Master EDHEC 2005) and Beryl Bocquet (Master EDHEC 2001) for their invaluable advice. Participants then rounded off the evening over dinner at a restaurant in Paris.

Last spring, Talons Aiguilles attracted an audience of more than 450 to the prestigious Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lille, where the catwalk was more professional and glamorous than ever. They’ve come a long way! Thanks to the work of each generation of participants, the Jeunes Créateurs competition has made huge progress, reinventing itself each year as it continues to reach new highs.

It all began in December 1992 when the association was first set up based on an idea by Sophie Le Saout (Master EDHEC 1994) and thanks to the initiative of the first generation: Christelle Caucheteux (Master EDHEC 1994), Blandine Dos Santos (Master EDHEC 1994), Laure Daoud (Master EDHEC 1995), Karine Hillaire (Master EDHEC 1995) and Elisabeth Peyraube (Master EDHEC 1995). Their early sponsors – La Redoute, Pimkie and Kenzo – made it possible to launch the first Jeunes Créateurs competition in 1994, when on the opening night the team was proud to host the then CEO of Kenzo and current Chairman of EDHEC, Richard Simonin (Master EDHEC 1976).
