A friendly 2019 Welcome Party on the Paris campus

School

-

10.18.2019

Last Thursday, the Paris Welcome Party brought together some 200 students and graduates at an event all about EDHEC Alumni’s professional and leisure clubs.

The ambassadors from all of these clubs took part in 3-minute pitching sessions to present their recent activities and upcoming projects to delegates in two different rooms. With presentations packed into a short slot and the clock ticking, the audiences could choose the clubs that most closely matched their interests or areas of expertise. The next big question was: actively follow or take concrete steps to get involved? Become an ambassador or regularly attend EDHEC Alumni events in Paris?

One thing is certain: the rich diversity of the clubs on offer meant there was something for everyone. For leisure activities, the options included the EDHEC Football Club / Footeuses d'ambianceEDHEC Alumni Christians or the EDHEC Wine Club. While those looking for professional clubs could choose from Finance, HR, Learn2Code();Jules Verne (Space, Transport and Defence), Culture & Media, Business in Africa, Luxury and Lifestyle, Automobile, EDHEC'Elles, EDHEC in TechClub Entreprendre or Tribu Développement. The Strategic Retail Management club has opened up new horizons with a new ambassador taking over and success stories ongoing or ready to unfold.

Among the ideas that emerged from the networking session held over drinks and snacks on the campus common areas, sport featured strongly and innovation was one of the watchwords. We were lucky enough to enjoy a presentation of the Smoocyclette bike, a company set up by Hervé Nguetsop (EDHEC BBA 2010) that allows users to create their own smoothies while peddling this magical machine!

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with Stéphanie Painchault (stephanie.painchault@edhec.edu, 01 53 32 76 34), Alumni Relations Manager, with suggestions for the launch of a new club or any other contributions! Let’s strive for projects without limits and an ever-stronger community!

Thank you all for your participation, and see you soon at Le Centorial. We hope you feel right at home!
