Since December 2020, Xavier Mufraggi has been Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), an association that brings together more than 30,000 top executives aged under 45 from 142 different countries. Xavier himself worked for Club Med for nearly 16 years, ultimately serving as President & CEO Europe Africa Middle East markets. In his discussion with EDHEC Alumni, he is quick to point out the parallels between his role in ensuring a dynamic and active international network at YPO and the EDHEC Alumni community, whose flag he proudly flies in his role (among others!) as an EDHEC Resource.
"I think when you attend EDHEC you benefit hugely as you can often call on your classmates in difficult times. So I think being an EDHEC Resource is a way of saying, “If you’re from EDHEC and you face problems at some point in your life, whether personal or professional, we’re here for you”. It can be by email, SMS, WhatsApp, telephone or whatever. There will always be someone available who will find the time either to help you directly or point you in the right direction. And I think we should all be EDHEC Resources so we’re in a position to answer any questions that alumni might have. I see the power of the EDHEC Alumni network through my own organization, YPO. We know that if we run into difficulty, there’s bound to be someone from EDHEC somewhere in the world who will find a way to talk us through it. And if they can find the solution, they’ll help us find it. What you give you often get back threefold!".
