Thibaud Martin (EDHEC 2013) and jubiwee for the EDHEC Start-up Founder of the Year award
Candidate for the EDHEC Start-up Founder of the Year award
Thibaud graduated from EDHEC in 2013. After a voluntary year overseas with LVMH, he went on to become a Data Analyst at 55, a big data consultancy firm set up by former Google employees. Its main clients, made up of international groups, called on his expertise to develop a better understanding of their users and adequately target them. This got Thibaud thinking and ultimately led him to a counter response: at a time when talented individuals are deserting major groups, why not make similar efforts to understand the needs of employees? Why do firms have a better understanding of their clients than of their staff?
Antoine and Victor met Thibaud at a hackathon and together decided to create Jubiwee. Initially it was a tool like many of the others we are seeing emerging: simple questionnaires giving staff the chance to regularly share how they feel in a way that is not intrusive, so that HR can take their personnel’s “pulse” in real time.
Then, as they felt their way forward, did some research and received new client requests, they turned towards the solution of an “intelligent wall”, a flow of relevant information for managers.
The company began to take off. With a refined understanding of team dynamics, Jubiwee quickly became a tool that triggered conversations and actions on issues that matter.
In less than 9 months, thousands of staff members from companies like Allianz, Mazars, Dassault Systèmes and Crédit du Nord have taken to Jubiwee, which is now one of the market leaders in “People Analytics” and successfully raised €700,000 in April 2017, primarily from investors Xavier Niel and Julien Lemoine, CTO of Algolia.
