Pascal Brier, Edhec Master 1985, Executive Vice President of the Altran group awarded EDHEC of the year 2017

The 34th EDHEC Person of the Year award went to Pascal Brier, EDHEC 1985, Executive Vice President of the Altran group.
Bruno de Pampelonne, EDHEC Master 1981 and President of EDHEC, presented him with the award at the EDHEC Rendez-Vous in Paris, streamed live on Facebook. In his speech, Pascal thanked his family, the Course Croisière community and EDHEC. Watch the video here:

First established in 1983, this award is given each year to an EDHEC alumnus for his or her outstanding contribution to the excellence, development or reputation of EDHEC via his or her professional career, or through personal or specific actions at local, national or international level.

Pascal Brier is Executive Vice President of the Altran group, in charge of strategy, innovation, technology and group solutions.

He graduated from EDHEC in 1985 and began his career in IT with NCR before joining the AT&T group as Multimedia Director for Southern Europe. He then joined Microsoft as Chief Marketing Officer and later Business & Marketing Officer.
Pascal Brier joined Altran in 2005, where he actively helped transform the group into a world leader in engineering services and outsourced R&D. Until 2014, he was Executive Vice-President, Global Accounts and Business Development.
He also serves as the Chairman of the Altran Foundation for Innovation, is a board member of GIFAS (French aerospace industry association) and GEAD (group of aeronautic and defence equipment manufacturers), and was formerly the Vice President of Syntec Numérique, France’s professional chamber for digital services.


As EDHEC Person of the Year, he takes over from Sophie Bellon, an EDHEC graduate from 1983 who chairs the Sodexo board of directors.
During his time at EDHEC, Pascal Brier served as Chairman of the Course Croisière EDHEC, Europe’s biggest student-run sports event. For the first time in its history, the race took up its headquarters in La Rochelle, where it achieved record participation numbers with 329 boats. Pascal is currently an administrator of the EDHEC Endowment Fund.

The EDHEC Socially Responsible Organization of the Year award went to Augustin Jaclin, founder of Lemon Tri.


This year’s EDHEC Entrepreneur of the Year award was given to 2 entrepreneurs: Aurélien Leprêtre, founder of Insitaction and Jean-Marc Lazard, founder of OpenDataSoft.


The Act for EDHEC award for the class who displayed the greatest solidarity and generosity was given to the EDHEC Masters Class of 1991, represented by Yves Vitrier, class ambassador.

Around 600 EDHEC graduates came together at Salle Wagram in Paris on 15 June to attend the 27th edition of the EDHEC Rendez-Vous! Thank you for your enthusiasm, energy and participation.
