“This conversation helped me step back and feel reassured in my approach”

“After a professional experience in the United States, I returned to France and was looking for a new position in Paris. In a fairly challenging economic context, I needed to better understand the French job market and receive advice on how to approach my search. I therefore contacted the career guidance programme to gain an external perspective and be guided in my next steps.

This conversation above all allowed me to step back and feel reassured in my approach. The adviser helped me better identify and highlight the skills I had developed, and to reflect — based on my profile and personality — on the types of company environments that might suit me best. 

This service does not directly connect you with recruiters, but it can be very helpful in structuring your job search and adjusting your approach when needed. In a context where the market can sometimes be tight and opportunities may take time to appear, it also provides an external perspective, reassurance about the direction you are taking and renewed momentum in your search. I would therefore recommend it to alumni who would like support during this stage.
