“EDHEC for Future Generations” is at the core of EDHEC’s strategic plan, making international development a key asset as well as a unique differentiating competitive advantage. The creation of EDHEC America represents a new leverage for strengthening the School’s footprint in the USA, and builds on an already solid network of partners, universities, Alumni and companies.
Launched as a non-profit corporation in August 2021, EDHEC America just completed its first year of activity, under the management of its Executive Director and EDHEC graduate, Patricia Vinant. EDHEC America intends to develop and enhance the learning experience and new services for EDHEC students, expanding their diversity thanks to increased scholarships, while also setting up a presence in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area’s cutting-edge entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Established in California for 20+ years, Patricia is based in Berkeley, CA and oversees about 160 students per year. Over the past few months, she welcomed two new cohorts of EDHEC students for their year-long program in California:
- 67 EDHEC International BBA students attending UCLA for their second year of the Global business track
- 45 Master in Management in Global Economic Transformation & Technology (GETT) students completing their last year M2 at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Having a permanent EDHEC representative in the US is critical for these flagship programs.
On top of orientation for both programs, EDHEC America organizes activities such as welcome receptions, hackathon, beach clean-ups, safety briefing by the Consulate, etc...
EDHEC America also provides additional support to Learning Expeditions for two EDHEC Executive Education programs: the Global MBA and the Advanced Management Programme (Parcours Dirigeants). By networking and developing relationships with US corporations, EDHEC America will over time increase the visibility of the School with US companies and HR departments.
As the West Coast Country Manager, Patricia facilitates activities for local Alumni, supporting the EDHEC Alumni ambassadors from Los Angeles and San Francisco: EDHEC Rendez-Vous in June and “Welcome Parties” in the Fall. Recently, SF Alumni were treated to a special conference on “Becoming a Changemaker” with author and Berkeley Professor, Alex Budak.
Watch for future developments to come…
