- Can you explain in a few words how your company was born? (Team, origin and originality of the project)
After several years in recruitment and HR consulting in companies in France, Ireland and Switzerland, I have always found the offer of recruitment tools (sourcing) either particularly expensive or not necessarily effective. In my outplacement business, connecting my candidates with my network is extremely important, and I was afraid that my contacts in the company would get tired of my recurring profile proposals. By talking to a developer friend, we begin to talk about linking platform, and needlework, looking for ways to differentiate us from all existing platforms, tellnspread was born. Neither job board nor recruiters, we provide companies and recruitment agencies a tool that allows them to search directly, through the network of our users, in the contacts of our members. We have also reflected on the lack of meaning to offer paying publications at exorbitant rates without any guarantee of success, and instead set out on a system of remuneration to success, where the intermediary (who can be any user of the site ) Receives the greater part of the amount paid by the company. We like to define ourselves as the first network dedicated to recruitment in participatory economics mode!
Today, I am associated with my cousin, himself a graduate of HEC, but who has chosen to leave everything to devote himself to development.
- What is your first assessment of this entrepreneurial venture?
For the time being, the activity is still too recent to be able to draw an exhaustive assessment, but not being in my first entrepreneurial adventure, there is always a feeling of extreme satisfaction to be able to create something new or Differentiate, and make it work. The outplacement activity that I created in Geneva three years ago is starting to give very interesting results, and the satisfaction of being able to start living off its business without having benefited from fundraising or other activities is not Really descriptive as it is powerful. And it is even more so when you start recruiting for your own structure. For my outplacement business, my first consultant is an EDHEC!
- Have you been able to take advantage of the EDHEC graduate network at one time or another?
Since my arrival in Switzerland, I have always liked to get involved in the local Edhec community, taking part in the organizing committee of the Swiss events, promoting our alumni in other associations, and yes, the network of graduates Has brought me a lot. On the one hand in developed friendships, but also in consulting. Notably Fabien Guimtrandy, who gave me a lot of advice in the definition of the business model of tellnspread. But more generally, of course, it has never helped me develop any of my activities, but we feel supported!
- What advice can you give new entrepreneurs?
Company launches are not necessarily what one can hear from huge global successes, it takes time, perseverance, and above all, do not let go, as long as the returns are not negative to the point of To say that we must try something else!
And above all, you have to be able to adapt constantly to what the target expects from you. This does not mean that the initial idea is bad in the absolute, just that the customer is expecting something else for now!
- What are the next steps for your business?
We are currently 2 in the company and are developing tools for companies to completely outsource the management of their internal cooperations and internal mobilities in a multi-site or even multi-country context via An annual subscription system depending on the number of employees in the company. Our main next step is to convince human resources departments of companies with at least a European dimension to entrust us with the management of their entire co-opting process by capitalizing on the viral dimension that a platform can provide such as tellspread, communication RH that the tool will be able to propose to their employees and the visibility that this will bring to their problems of internal mobility.
This is the next business step. On the human side, as soon as we have our first corporate clients we will need to recruit key accounts, and strengthen our development teams.
- Do you have expectations of the EDHEC graduate community? (Fundraising, search for collaborators, partners, advice, etc.)
We would prefer to be able to capitalize on a network such as EDHEC to develop our business rather than working with customers that we would not necessarily know, but ultimately, the expectations of our customers remain the same, Edhec or not . So yes, if you work in Human Resources / Recruitment, we would be delighted to be able to introduce you to the future options of our tool, and why not create a communication campaign jointly with you, and we would definitely prefer to work in First with EDHEC!
