26 July: Manon Brunet wins bronze in the individual Sabre
Five years after placing 4th in Rio de Janeiro, Manon (3rd year on the BBA EDHEC Online programme) pulls off a fantastic comeback to take the bronze medal.
31 July: Manon Brunet and Charlotte Lembach win silver in the team Sabre
Manon Brunet, Charlotte Lembach (respectively in their 3rd and 4th years on the BBA EDHEC Online programme), alongside their teammate Cécilia Berder, give French fencing its first Olympic medal in the women’s team Sabre event.
3 August: Florian Grengbo wins bronze in the track cycling team sprint
Florian Grengbo (1st year on the BBA EDHEC Online programme) and his team beat Australia on the cycling track in the bronze medal team sprint event. A fantastic achievement for this 20-year-old athlete.
8 August: Gold! The French women’s handball team take the win!
Allison Pineau and Océane Sercien-Ugolin (respectively in their 1st and 3rd years on the BBA EDHEC Online programme) are crowned Olympic Handball champions. Five years after their defeat in the final in Rio against the Russian Olympic Committee, the French seize this opportunity and take gold with a comfortable victory (30-25). The women’s handball team become Olympic champions for the first time in their history, cheered on by the men’s team who also won the previous day.
