II- Business venture
1) Definition of product, market, target
Creation of an online marketplace where selected art galleries can post their ads to sell works of art online selected by the team. On Artsper, you can discover and share works of art via the social media but you can also purchase works of art from all over France as well as abroad, and have them delivered to your door.
The aim is to launch the site as quickly as possible across the whole EU, as the business model is very easy to take abroad.
2) Size of team
The company is managed by Hugo Mulliez (Edhec 2011) and François-Xavier Trancart (Edhec 2012). A review committee made up of 4 personalities from the world of art and e-commerce have also been appointed to support the management team with their strategic decision-making in order to promote consistent performance.
4) Originality
The site has been designed for a public of art lovers rather than for collectors, in other words for individuals who do not necessarily have the knowledge or the relations for easy access to the world of modern art. The prices on the site will also be limited so as to fit in with the budget of such people. This means that we will mainly promote talented young artists, the stars of tomorrow, and artists who are still accessible pricewise.
