EDHEC students on internships: tips for getting noticed!

05.02.2013

With the academic year 2012 – 2013 coming to a close, it is now time to find your job or internship. There are several ways to tackle your future missions. You can just blend in and do what is expected of you. With this attitude, you will acquire basic knowledge and develop entry-level managerial skills. But by outdoing yourself, you will be able to see the bigger picture and develop a transverse approach of your activity. This is what will make the difference!

By performing a long-term mission you will increase your technical and managerial competencies for your chosen occupation or/and sector. Analyze and compare your various experiences in the frame of your mission. Remember you are part of a bigger entity setting and pursuing a defined strategy with given objectives. You need to learn how to take step back from time to time in order to have a clearer overview of your assignment. Be innovative, proactive, and curious! Try to stay critical and constructive while also expressing you innovative side. Find the right balance between adapting and asserting yourself.

Please remember to keep in touch with your Career Centre! Think of us as your partner for finding your job in a very selective and competitive global war on Talent. With the graduate job market becoming harder, you need to be very proactive in your job search. Please target all suitable offers on the Market as this year opportunities are very limited. Please note that you will find the forthcoming meetings and services that we can offer you below.

Counselling
Self-evaluation is important for being sufficiently prepared for recruitment processes and knowing yourself better.
