EDHEC Rendez-Vous and Retrouvailles BBA enjoyed unprecedented success!
Thanks to you, this year’s EDHEC Rendez-Vous and Retrouvailles BBA enjoyed unprecedented success!
A total of 1,800 people took part in these events (50% more than in June 2017!), proof that our network continues to be dynamic! 700 people attended the EDHEC Rendez-Vous Paris on 14 June in the magical setting of the Atelier des Lumières, and 670 attended the Retrouvailles BBA in Lille, Nice and Paris. But that’s not all: many other EDHEC delegates are expected to take part in more than 30 other cities around the world. Click here to see the first photos and upcoming dates for your diary!
An impressive schedule all about how to Rock your Network!
This year’s theme was about the EDHEC network, rock solid and as dynamic as rock ‘n’ roll!
These events were an opportunity to recognise the wonderful success stories of our EDHEC entrepreneurs.
The EDHEC Person of the Year award went to Sacha Poignonnec, co-founder and joint CEO of Jumia, an African online selling platform that is also Africa’s first unicorn (start-up valued at more than $1 billion), while Julie Chapon received the EDHEC Start-up Founder of the Year award for Yuka, “the mobile app that scans your food”. The EDHEC Entrepreneur of the Year award went to Maxime Legardez (EDHEC 2011) for Everoad (formerly Convargo), a start-up that brings together businesses and road hauliers. Maud Sarda (EDHEC 2005) was named EDHEC Socially Responsible Entrepreneur of the Year for Label Emmaüs, the online store run by Emmaüs. |

There was also recognition for commitment to EDHEC. The EDHEC Class of 1967, represented by Jean-Paul Marchal, won the class solidarity challenge for their generosity, having donated funds to finance 27 study grants. Caroline Desforges (BBA 2013), Head of Merchandising at Mondelēz, was named most committed EDHEC BBA graduate for her remarkable involvement in the network this year. |
