2025 will mark a turning point in your association's history. With the creation of a new Nominations Committee, the association is demonstrating its strong desire to modernise its governance structure and ensure perfectly balanced representation of its 60,000-strong network of members. This innovative process has renewed the Board of Trustees with remarkable results in terms of parity, diversity and our ability to deliver on the 2024-2028 EDHEC Alumni strategic plan.

Why create a Nominations Committee?

The Nominations Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Board of Trustees reflects the wealth and diversity of EDHEC Alumni members. Its objective is to make sure that each vote has a bearing on strategic decisions. In terms of parity, degree course, campus, age, social diversity or international background, each criterion is taken into account to safeguard a governance structure that embodies the values and ambitions of the EDHEC community.

A historic transformation adopted in 2024

During the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 11 January 2024, the members of EDHEC Alumni unanimously adopted a bold statutory reform which led to the creation of the Nominations Committee, a body responsible for identifying and putting forward a list of representative candidates from across the EDHEC community. This groundbreaking initiative was driven by a desire to make the association a model of diversity and inclusion among European schools.

Nominations Committee members: a dedicated team

The Nominations Committee, put in place in January 2024, is made up of five active members and one alternate, chosen for a three-year mandate. Here is the list of members who have agreed to take on this crucial and voluntary mission:

  • Emmanuelle Guilbart (EDHEC Master 1988): Joint CEO de About Premium Content and former President of EDHEC Alumni.

  • Antoine Kerrinckx (EDHEC International BBA 1995): Senior Vice President of Atos, former President of EDHEC BBA Alumni and former joint President of EDHEC Alumni.

  • Julien Godinger (EDHEC Master 2000): Founder of Smart and Agile Consulting.

  • Perline Hochart (EDHEC Master 2024): Member of the EDHEC Business School Board of Trustees, Head of Technical Program Management & Business Operations at Komodo Health

  • Kirstin Hertel (EDHEC Executive MBA 2017): Finance Manager at Exotec.

  • Suppléant : Jérémy Odoux (EDHEC International BBA 2003): Entrepreneur and EDHEC Alumni ambassador in Vietnam.

A transparent and inclusive process

In October 2024, most of the board members reached the end of their second mandate. This meant 12 positions out of a potential 16 were opening up. A call for applications was issued, inviting all members from the community to run for election. Here are the main phases in the selection process:

  1. Analysis of applications: a record 150 applications were examined based on 15 objective eligibility and diversity criteria.
  2. Second screening: candidates were rated based on criteria for the diversity of board representation. A non-binding list of 35 nominees was drawn up and presented to the Nominations Committee.
  3. Final validation: In November 2024, the Nominations Committee convened to propose the ideal team. This team is made up of 20 members: 4 returning board members + 12 new nominees + 4 statutory members (who each year complete the board with 2 official representatives from the School, including the Dean of EDHEC, Emmanuel Métais, and 2 student representatives).
  4. Transparency for candidates: A webinar was held to explain the process to all candidates, who unanimously lauded the new method and placed their trust in the Committee's decision. Other means of action to contribute to the development of the school and EDHEC Alumni network were presented to encourage candidates not selected to play an active role in the network.
  5. Voting at the AGM: To complete the process, the working method was presented to all participants (in attendance or online) at the 2025 AGM, and then each nominee, including the 4 returning board members, were subjected to a vote.

An unprecedented outcome: meet your new EDHEC Alumni Board of Trustees

The new board members were unanimously elected, confirming EDHEC Alumni’s status as a pioneer in inclusive and innovative governance with now exemplary parity, increased international representation and varied profiles in terms of age, degree course and background. Many of our board members are also alumni who have already shown their commitment to the 3 main pillars of the EDHEC Alumni strategic plan: diversity & inclusion, artificial intelligence and the environmental transition.
