Call for candidates for the Edhec of the Year, Edhec Entrepreneur of the Year and Socially Responsible Organisation of the Year Prize 2012.

Edhec Alumni Association is now preparing the annual Edhec Rendez-Vous, which this year will take place in various places across the globe on Thursday 14 June 2012. Save the date! During this major Edhec event, we will announce the winners of 3 Edhec Prizes:

The Edhec of the Year prize
The Edhec of the Year prize is awarded to an Edhec person who, throughout their career, has contributed to the development and or the standing of their firm, whether at local, national or international level. Recognised by their peers and the sector in general, the winner will be the embodiment of success, helping to consolidate EDHEC’s image of excellence.

The Edhec Entrepreneur of the Year prize
The Entrepreneur of the Year prize is awarded to an Edhec entrepreneur who has decided to take a leap into the unknown and has contributed to EDHEC’s image as a creator of talent by their taste for risk and adventure. Their daring and sense of innovation will have impacted on the winner’s sector or region, or on the vision others have of the sector.

The Socially Responsible Organisation of the Year prize
Created last year, this prize is awarded to a business, association or NGO that has placed values of citizenship and social and environmental responsibility at the heart of its activity. Open to everyone, it promotes active solidarity. The winning organisation’s commitment will have had a strong impact on its staff, boosting their performance and their motivation. The manager of the winning entity does not have to be an Edhec alumnus but there must be at least one Edhec alumnus on the staff. Edhec Alumni Association invites you (the community of alumni, students, faculty and administrative staff) to send us the names of Edhec people who you believe could be eligible for one of the 3 prizes. The Association is particularly keen that the full diversity of EDHEC programmes is represented by the candidates nominated.

This year, a panel of alumni, students and representatives of the School will examine all the profiles nominated for the Edhec of the Year prize 2012 and will select one.

For the Edhec Entrepreneur of the Year and the Socially Responsible Organisation of the Year prize, the panel will select 2-3 of the profiles nominated and you will then be asked to vote for the winner.

So, if you believe that an Edhec person you know or have heard of has all the qualities required for nomination, no matter what their programme (Grande Ecole, MBA, MSc, etc.), please let us know.
It’s very easy: just send your nominations to marina.robert@edhec.edu before midnight on Sunday 22 April, indicating:

• The first name, surname and Class Year of the Edhec person you wish to nominate
• The prize you are nominating the person for
• Your reasons for nominating the person in question
