For the sixth consecutive year, EDHEC Alumni invited graduates to attend a gathering on the Lille campus. Alumni Campus Day is now among the most anticipated events for all generations of graduates, an event which each year demonstrates the timeless quality of the EDHEC spirit!

On Saturday 8 October, thanks to your participation we reached record attendance numbers! Some 300 EDHEC graduates returned to their old lecture halls. Graduates from the classes of 1956 to 2011 all came together to celebrate their respective anniversaries in what was a thoroughly enjoyable event.

Upon arriving on the Croix-Roubaix campus, delegates headed to the auditorium for a talk entitled “Leadership transformation or transformative leadership".

Valérie Petit, who holds a Ph.D. in management science and currently works as a Professor of management, captured her audience’s attention with a presentation that was both light-hearted and inspirational.

As they filed out of the auditorium, the 8 class groups were welcomed by some of our current students who gave them a guided tour of the campus (which some of them had never seen). From the incubator to the student foyer and sports facilities, our visitors were astonished by the modern features of the new campus.

The graduates then returned to the auditorium to participate in a questions & answers session with Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School, before taking part in an inter-class “serious game”. The aim of the game was for each class to win as many points as possible in a quiz involving songs and old class photos.

This was followed by the prize-giving ceremony and class reunion photos!

Our congratulations to:

- MBA class of 1986 who won the inter-class serious game

-Class of 1991 who won the prize for the most delegates

- Class of 1956 who were the most mobilised!!!

Each winning team walked away with a magnum of Pertois-Lebrun champagne, generously provided by Antoine Bouret (Master 2007).

After the class reunion photos on stage and some dancing to the hits of each generation, delegates assembled in the campus Forum to taste some Pertois-Lebrun champagne.

Each group then headed off for dinner at a restaurant in Lille or at the brasserie on campus.

Considering the atmosphere on campus that Saturday, everyone agreed to return for their next reunion in 5 years. Apparently their best memories are ahead of them...

Our thanks to all of the students from EDHEC Junior Management, Human'East, the student office and Le Ch'ti, who were on hand to assist graduates throughout the day. Our thanks also to Antoine Bouret (Master 2007) and Champagnes Pertois-Lebrun.
Finally, we would like to thank all staff members, from the Incubator to the Alumni Career Centre, who gladly fielded questions from participating graduates.
