Thursday, 6 June 2013, ‘planet EDHEC’ has convened for one of thirty-two EDHEC Rendez-Vous the world over.
A record number of cities and local clubs took part.
Starting in Asia (Nouméa, Hong Kong, Singapore) at lunchtime in France, the EDHEC Rendez-Vous went from one time zone to the next, to end up in New York, Toronto and Montreal.
In Paris, the epicentre of the event, which was streamed over the internet, a roundtable on socially responsible business was organised. Our three guests, Satish Jha (MBA 1990), Alexandre Laure (2009) and Emmanuel Landais (1989), spent an hour discussing their commitments, their experience and their ambitions.
8:15 pm: the entire community is waiting with bated breath. The three winners of the EDHEC alumni prizes are revealed:
The 2013 EDHEC Entrepreneur: Jean-Baptiste Duquesne (1980), for Groupe Confidentielles / 750 grammes.
Socially responsible company of the year: Emmanuel Landais (1989), for ADIE.
2013 Edhec of Year: Michael Burke (1980), CEO of Louis Vuitton.
Congratulations to our three alumni on their extraordinary backgrounds and on the success of their projects. Thanks are due to the nominees who made themselves available to answer questions and to Michael Burke for his availability in the interview with Olivier Hamoir, our journalist.
