Lille, 8 November 2016 – EDHEC strengthens its commitment to social and cultural diversity with its ambitious EDHEC4ALL programme.
Thanks to the support of its donors and partners, EDHEC gives more than one out of every four students the benefit of this academic excellence initiative.
From its study grants, to its loans on trust and its academic excellence grants, the School offers solutions tailored to the needs of each student. In total, the grants awarded by EDHEC represent €9 million.
An ambitious policy of solidarity
On Monday 7 November, the Lille campus hosted student beneficiaries, the Fondation Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe, partner companies and associations, and many donors.
To mark the event, Bruno Mayeur, the Director of Vie Etudiante et des Solidarités at EDHEC, led a roundtable discussion on the theme of equal opportunities in accessing higher education. This gave students the opportunity to share their testimonies and allowed donors and partners to express their commitment and motivations.
“We would like to thank all of our donors, and in particular the Fondation Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe, who has been a committed programme partner since 2010”, said Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School. “Our policy of solidarity has gone from strength to strength in recent years. We intend to further our efforts and, thanks to the generosity of our partners, reach a total of €16 million for grants and loans on trust by 2020.”
- Each year, 25% of students at EDHEC benefit from a solidarity grant.
- In 2016-2017, an additional €1 million will be distributed in the form of social and solidarity grants, financed in full by the School’s budget.
- In total, the student grants awarded by EDHEC represent €9 million.
- The minimum annual grant per student is being raised from €2000 to €3000, with a further stipend of €1000 for students with a reference family income of less than €9000 per family member.
- This budget has increased fivefold in five years (2010-2015).
- The Fondation Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe contributes €1 million over a five-year period to help finance these grants, alongside other individual donors.
