Entrepreneurship: Nicolas Froissart (GE 2002) and Milan Danilovic (GE 2012), Ecosource
Ecosource has been developing energy performance solutions in Shanghai since 2005. It works on three areas:
- Energy expertise: Ecosource helps its clients in China to control and reduce their energy consumption. We mainly work on commercial buildings under renovation for energy consumption audits, project management assistance, low energy consumption certification, training, and performance follow-up.
- Distribution: Ecosource draws on its expertise to select, guarantee and distribute a wide range of low energy consumption lighting and HVAC products abroad (France, Canada, Pacific…).
- Partnerships: Ecosource’s network helps facilitate industrial innovation between continents.
The team now has around twelve members of staff with 5 different nationalities, including two Edhec alumni. It covers 13 languages and has a cumulated experience of over 100 years in the areas of energy, finance, consulting and international business.
Without competition in intercultural and multidisciplinary terms, the project has raised $170,000 in capital to date.
McKinsey puts the size of global energy performance at $170Mds/year. The Pew Institute has forecast growth in energy services in China at over 30%/year between now and 2020. In 2012 Ecosource plans to: distribute in three more countries, conduct five projects a month in China, and pass the million dollar turnover mark.
Ecosource needs more Edhec people to join its team: we are currently looking for sales reps and distributors!
