Candidate for the EDHEC Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Vincent Huguet, CEO and co-founder of Malt. When he graduated from EDHEC, he worked for 7 years in Mexico for France Telecom and Telmex, heading up their strategy and marketing teams. He then set up his first company, an e-commerce platform for flower deliveries. Upon returning to France, he worked as a business developer for the Dromadaire and Ooprint websites as part of the Aventers group. Vincent is a big believer in the power of communities and was one of the first Airbnb hosts in France.

He personally experienced the difficulty of finding freelancers in the course of his own entrepreneurial activities. He then met a freelance developer with several years’ experience, Hugo Lassiège, and together they decided to set up Malt with one core ambition: to transform the market for IT consultancy and intellectual service providers (software and computing services, brokers, agencies, etc.), estimated to be worth €300 billion in Europe (source: Syntec Numérique), with an open, transparent and community-based platform for freelancers.
