Candidates for the EDHEC Start-Up Founder of the Year award.

Thomas Venturini

With degrees in Law (Université de Poitiers, 2011) and Finance (EDHEC Business School, 2013), Thomas worked in mergers & acquisitions for Barclays and later Ernst & Young. He’s passionate about the web and new technologies and so decided to join Amazon’s marketplace teams to recruit and develop strategic vendors for the platform in Europe. He was also given responsibility for overseeing key Amazon Marketplace development projects.

It was when Thomas sold his first apartment that he experienced first-hand the disconnected services in terms of the needs and demands of the market. And so Liberkeys was born.

Julien Watry

Julien holds a degree in Finance (EDHEC, 2013). He worked in mergers & acquisitions for KPMG, where he helped to develop the firm’s start-up programme. He later joined investment fund Turenne Capital, where he was in charge of shareholdings and helped the businesses in his portfolios to develop.

Having faced problems in previous real estate transactions, he decided to set up Liberkeys with Thomas.
