Global Graduate Programme
You may be in your final year at university or you may have already graduated. Either way you probably don’t have a great deal of work experience. You have probably done an internship and attended a number of workshops and skills sessions – these have all helped you decide that you would like to pursue a career in banking.
Our graduate programme will provide you with the knowledge of banking, and our businesses and culture that will enable you to succeed long-term in this fast-paced and challenging sector.
The graduate programme lasts two years, starting with a global training seminar for the first few weeks. This seminar will be an invaluable opportunity for you to meet your graduate peers from all over the world who are part of the SG CIB graduate programme. You will learn about the SG CIB businesses, the strategy and the values which will be key to your success. Furthermore, you will take part in technical and soft skills trainings that will help you build the relevant expertise needed for your career in your chosen business area.
Once this is completed you will have all the tools and ‘know how’ to hit the ground running as you join your specific team; you should expect to be challenged as well as experience a very steep learning curve. You will receive support and ongoing development and networking opportunities once you are in your team, and this will take a variety of different forms, from on the job training to cross-business project as well as a mentoring scheme.
We recruit in all of our regions for our global graduate programme almost a full year in advance of the programme start date. Graduate programme positions are offered in the following businesses and activities: Investment Banking, Global Finance, Global Markets, and Resource Functions (Accounting and Finance, Operations and IT).
