12.19.2012

The Rising Talents fundraising Campaign has really taken off this year. We have currently raised nearly €8 million in gifts and pledges from companies, alumni, and parents of students.

My warm thanks to all of those who have placed their trust in us.

Rising Talents has contributed to getting a major project off the ground: the EDHEC Family Business Center. It has also enabled us to finance nearly 200 scholarships, to support the creation of some twenty companies in the business incubator, to proceed with our international growth, and to fund a new chair in marketing. 2013, will be a turning point crowned by the official launch of the Campaign in October. Until then, we have two priorities : to raise an additional €6 million to reach half of our final objective and to secure support from 10% of EDHEC and ESPEME alumni for the Campaign. That represents 2,000 additional donors. As of now, only 300 alumni are giving their backing to the efforts of EDHEC Business School. In this respect, we are well behind other French Business Schools.
What matters is your support for the development of the school. How much you can give is less important. We are very determined, especially to increase the number of scholarships we can award and to continue developing internationally. Your contribution counts at whatever level you choose. Join us to make a difference.

THE PROJECTS THAT EMERGED IN 2012
EDHEC FAMILY BUSINESS CENTER

This new research and training centre is the only one of its kind. It unites large family holdings, family-owned companies and other companies, on a board that steers the Center’s work and its strategic orientation. The EDHEC Family Business Center has two goals: to become the gold standard regarding research into and publications about the governance, management, passing on, financing, and philanthropy of family companies; and to contribute to the rise of these companies through a complete range of seminars, conferences and course programmes.

NEW GEN TALENT CENTRE
Businesses are experiencing the globalisation of the labour market and must deal with the problems of finding international talent and securing their loyalty. As a privileged partner of new generations of graduates, EDHEC’s New Gen Talent Centre is set to become a vantage point from which to observe the behaviour and motivations of young talent and a laboratory for testing how to identify, evaluate and develop tomorrow’s leaders - a major challenge for the future of young people and the business world.  Although businesses may contribute greatly and significantly to the Rising Talents Campaign by providing funds for major projects, as well as teaching and research chairs, our alumni can make a difference by taking part in the funding of scholarships, in the business incubator projects, in the international development of the School or in innovative teaching programmes. Each donation is important, whether for a project, a scholarship or another use.
