“The Edhec network helped me in my career. I found last year’s placement thanks to the 1st Thursday meetings which are held every first Thursday in Lille (editor’s note: in Nice and Marseille too). My Edhec husband also met an Edhec graduate. Two days later, I had an interview which led to a placement and, 6 months later, I was offered a full-time job thanks to her persuasive skills with the management and thanks to EDHEC’s placement service which extended my placement agreement by a few hours so that there wouldn’t be a break between the 2 contracts. It’s so important to build your network in the 1st year by taking part in this type of informal meeting as it’s generally alumni who have kept the Edhec spirit who go there. You get on with older alumni in the associations, for example and that can help later on!”
