Letter from an EDHEC student who benefited from an EDHEC for All scholarship

I am writing to share some news regarding my academic and professional journey and to express my deep gratitude for your support through the scholarship I had the honour to receive. This assistance has been crucial for me this year, enabling me to pursue my studies under the best possible conditions.

This second year, where I am pursuing a Master's in Finance combined with a Master's in Mathematical Engineering at Université Côte d'Azur, has been particularly demanding. Managing both of these intensive programs simultaneously has been a stimulating challenge that required rigorous organization and hard work. However, this experience has greatly enriched my understanding of essential quantitative tools in financial markets and honed my analytical skills.

Last summer, I completed a three-month internship in financial control at Bouygues Construction. This internship was a fantastic experience that allowed me to develop my skills in financial analysis and project management. I worked on several large-scale projects, which gave me valuable insight into financial operations within a large company.

In July, after participating in a 3-day Insight Programme at Barclays' London offices, I met a student from Imperial College with whom I founded an association called "Towards Net Zero." I lead a team that publishes articles on sustainable economics issues, aiming to explain them in a simple and accessible manner. This initiative has opened new doors for me and made me realize how enriching encounters can be and lead to beautiful achievements.

For my gap year, searching for a Sales internship presents a new challenge, especially in such a competitive field. Initially not accustomed to building and maintaining professional contacts, adapting my search methods and developing these skills required considerable effort and adjustment. However, I am fully committed to this process, aware that these efforts are essential to seizing the best professional opportunities.

Thank you again for your generosity and support through the scholarship. It has not only alleviated my financial constraints but also motivated an even deeper commitment to my studies and professional development.

With sincere regards,

Tijani
