. Definition of product, market, target:
At a time when everyone is looking for authenticity, Tonton Marcel aims to become THE source of inspiration for rural holidays that combine nostalgia with French terroir and style: agri-tourism, œno-tourism, gastronomy, crafts…
To this end, we have created a universe that carries the brand name with its own website, designed for all those looking for authenticity and style, who want to combine terroir and comfort. The site includes:
A fun browser that will take you to the bed and breakfasts and holiday homes specially selected by Tonton Marcel
A collection of recipes, wines and other products suggested by our holiday home owners
A blog about travelling, wine, gastronomy and regions
An events diary of our holiday homes and their regions

. Originality of venture:
Our originality lies in our approach, which is deliberately offbeat and fun, in a sector that is tends to suffer from a somewhat downbeat image, and is often considered as too ‘fusty’.
We also differ in the way we promote the people and their products (wines, recipes, etc.), way beyond a simple presentation of their holiday lets.

III/ What would you like from the Edhec network?
Our priority is to develop our network on 3 levels:
Customers: to extend the Tonton Marcel brand name to the public via the internet (social networks, specialised websites, blogs...) and the printed press.
Clients: to acquire new references for our website => we would appreciate all good addresses and experience feedback would be fantastic!
Institutional partners: create partnerships with tourist promotion organisations, firms working with the same customer target and works committees looking for innovative offers…
