EDHEC sets up a structure devoted to family businesses

EDHEC Business School has launched EDHEC Family Business Center, in partnership with several major companies supporting the project with $ 2.5 million: the Caisse d'Epargne, Roquette, Somfy and recently Deloitte. 

This structure offers to family companies some training, research and benchmarking studies. The objective of this center is, first, to share knowledge and expertise from EDHEC with family businesses and, secondly, to act as intermediaries in mediating regions and businesses bringing growth and jobs.
"EDHEC Business Family Centre aims to reconcile the territories with the globalization", explains Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School.

Educate students about career opportunities
In this perspective, the center will develop activities to Executive Education (seminars, breakfasts, conferences), as well as publications and studies on very specific themes including family governance, management & strategy, transmission, financing, social responsibility... EDHEC also wants to educate its students with the career opportunities offered by family businesses, values ​​and specific management they carry.

Family businesses represent over 80% of all enterprises of OECD countries, is the most common form.
