EDHEC graduate Elsa Ruhlmann played a starring role at the Grand Prix VIE prize-winning event in Hong Kong at the end of 2011. Elsa won the Prix Grand Groupe organised by Ubifrance Hong Kong (the VIE supervising authority) and French foreign trade advisors. A jury comprising members of the largest French corporations operating in Hong Kong singled out the region’s best VIE interns.
Elsa Ruhlmann recently graduated from EDHEC and is working for Natixis Hong Kong Branch as a project finance analyst, a post for which she has the necessary implication, enthusiasm and communicative skills. She opted for a VIE internship as the scheme offered a combination of international and professional aspects, and provided a privileged gateway into a large group. Ultimately, it also enabled her to win the prestigious Prix Grand Groupe prize, awarded by directors of some of France’s largest corporations (Lacoste, LVMH, Lagardère, BNP Paribas, etc.).
The Grand Prix VIE competition is geared to rewarding the best VIE interns and highlighting the finest experiences within the programme. It also seeks to promote a scheme that enables young talent to consolidate its professional know-how internationally, within a framework that helps develop business relations between the host country and France.
The VIE scheme is highly advantageous for businesses of all sizes operating outside France (no contract or social charges in France). Participating companies can take interns for pre-determined periods of up to 24 months.
The other prizes awarded during the evening convinced the prize-winners even more that the VIE scheme offers opportunities that are not to be missed!
