EDHEC Alumni is making tangible progress on gender equality, diversity & inclusion, sustainable development and responsibility.
At the 2024 Extraordinary General Meeting, the EDHEC Alumni association reiterated its commitment to being exemplary in reflecting the diversity of profiles and sensibilities within your community. This aspiration, shared by EDHEC students and graduates alike, aims to establish a benchmark for diversity & inclusion in European schools.
In late 2023, we undertook to copper-fasten gender equality in our governance system and public communication by signing the gender diversity charter (Charte de la Mixité) for Grandes Ecoles.
A change to our articles of association was proposed and adopted unanimously on 11 January 2024, giving us the means to ensure that our Board of Trustees is as representative as possible of the full diversity of our association members in terms of parity, degree programmes, campuses, age and social diversity and that it also reflects the international dimension and hybridisation of the paths followed by our community members.
Beginning in January 2025, the new Committee for Nominations will be required to put forward to the entire EDHEC Alumni community a list of candidates for the Board of Trustees that reflects a balanced representation of the community.
How will it work?
In October of each year, the Committee for Nominations will issue a call for applications to all EDHEC students and graduates to replace the outgoing Board members.
It will then convene to draw up a list in a way that ensures the broadest possible representation on the new Board of Trustees.
At the AGM in January, each person on the list will be put to an electronic vote with participation from the whole EDHEC Alumni community to determine the list of the 14 to 21 members who will make up the new Board.
Composition of the Committee for Nominations
On 11 January 2024, 5 active members and 1 substitute were unanimously appointed and approved by voting attendees for a 3-year mandate. Beginning on the fourth year, they will be replaced by 2 members each year.

What other subjects were addressed at the General Meetings?
The meetings held on 11 January on EDHEC’s Paris campus were also an opportunity to look back at the major achievements of 2022-2023, with a presentation of the association’s financial and activity reports. The budget was broken down in detail for delegates and submitted for approval.
The evening concluded with testimonials from three graduates who embody the 3 pillars of everything we do: Share, Care, Dare.
Participants then remained on campus to socialise, a chance for a group of 10 students in particular, whom we thank for their interest, to meet with members of the Board of Trustees and other graduates who have long played an active role in the network.
