Committing to the environmental transition: EDHEC Alumni and The Week, a dynamic that is gathering pace

Understanding the climate emergency and taking collective action: that's the ambition of The Week, an immersive, hard-hitting format that invites everyone to change the way they look at the environmental and social crisis. Through high-impact videos and small-group discussions, participants explore the current challenges and, above all, the solutions for tackling these major issues together.

‘It's highly communicative and generates contagious, positive emotions’ “Lots of people should follow The Week - including people who feel they already have a good grasp of the subject”.

Since 2023, a group of committed alumni have taken the initiative to organise The Week within our EDHEC Alumni community. Their aim: to engage people in decision-making positions, including you, EDHEC Alumni. And in just a few months, the initiative has grown remarkably: more sessions, more participants, more volunteer leaders... and an ever-stronger collective dynamic.

Growing momentum thanks to strong volunteer commitment

What was still a pilot experiment in 2023, with a single session bringing together 20 alumni, became a recurring event in 2024, with three sessions involving almost 50 alumni.

2025 got off to a flying start with 29 people registering in January, confirming the EDHEC Alumni community's growing interest in this format, which combines raising awareness with taking action. In just three months, the number of facilitators has risen from 2 to 8, making it possible to organise even more sessions and reach an ever wider audience.

‘What motivates us is seeing the extent to which these sessions create links and raise awareness. With each session, we see that more and more alumni want to understand, exchange ideas and, above all, take concrete action.’ - Testimonial from an EDHEC Alumni volunteer facilitator ’

The objective for the coming months? To maintain this rhythm by offering a session every two months, in order to give as many people as possible the opportunity to take part, to get involved and to make EDHEC Alumni the most committed alumni network on environmental and social issues.

Volunteer involvement at EDHEC Alumni: a driving force for impact

Volunteer involvement is a powerful lever within EDHEC Alumni. Whether through The Week, the numerous thematic and territorial clubs, or the mentoring and coaching programmes, the alumni get involved to create positive and committed dynamics.

Within the EDHEC Alumni team itself, an internal training and involvement strategy is being put in place. More and more employees are being trained in environmental issues, acting as role models and driving forces for the entire community.

‘We believe deeply in the importance of setting an example. By training and getting involved ourselves, we are creating a collective dynamic that encourages other alumni to get involved too’. - EDHEC Alumni.

The next sessions not to be missed

If you too want to understand the environmental issues, exchange ideas with other alumni and find ways to take action, don't miss the next The Week session in English:
