Head of Asset Management Strategy and Product Development - Europe and Asia

Overview:

Lehman Brothers Asset Management, as part of the Investment Management Division, offers a broad range of asset management products for institutions and individual investors. We have established track records in strategies across the risk/return spectrum in cash, fixed income, equity and absolute return strategies, and are committed to building sustainable and rewarding relationships with our clients. The IMD analyst rotation programme offers direct exposure to all aspects of the European Asset Management business with a focus on the product development life cycle, client service and marketing. The Analyst will have regular interaction with senior sales, investment, product, marketing and operations professionals. Product exposure will include equity and fixed income asset classes as well as quantitative products, structured funds and related investment offerings.

Responsibilities:

·      The Analyst will work closely with senior professionals to execute on product development, client servicing and marketing for Asset Management clients

·      Conduct market/competitive analysis

·      Assist in strategic analysis and the development of new strategies for European clients

·      Assist in the launch of new products for European clients

·      Development and preparation of marketing materials to support existing and new product launches

·      Support client servicing requirements for existing and new strategies  

Career Path:

·      Placement includes initial training in New York

·      Expectation to move into an associate role

·      Conduct more informed strategic analysis / providing guidance to new analysts

·      Managing new product launches

·      Greater interaction with clients on more complicated situations

·      Refining client services with benefit of experience

Qualifications:

·      Minimum of 2:1 or equivalent at first degree

·      Detail-oriented, highly motivated self starter

·      Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·      Effective written and oral communication style

·      Ability to demonstrate teamwork initiative and enthusiasm

·      Ability to manage multiple assignments with varied and tight deadlines

·      Willingness to learn and drive own development

·      Desire to develop and maintain client relationships

·      Strong organizational skills and the ability to summarize findings effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.

·      The ability to multi-task and prioritize

·      Creative thinking and reacts quickly and positively to changes in plans

·      Language skills advantageous; Italian, German, French, Chinese, Japanese

·      Availability for 4 weeks training in New York [August - September]
