How did your entrepreneurial project come about?
Our project came about above all when we identified a need, we wanted to create a useful tool because we saw among those around us that there was an opportunity. So we took the plunge and one year later the application Wilout was launched!
Tell us about your company.
Wilout is a platform that targets both B2C and B2B. It brings together a community on a native application and website. This community has access to a schedule of events, a kind of Tripadvisor for entertainment businesses with suggestions for activities, access to photos of previous events, and the option to put in place ticket sales for public or private events. Wilout’s B2B activities focus on the management and communication tools on offer, which we describe in detail below.
What is your commercial product?
A free mobile application, a website highlighting the tools available for professionals: a ticket sales service that is easy to put in place via QR codes that can be used by anyone, and promotional/communication tools.
What is your market?
The community is made up of a young clientele aged 16 to 35 while our management and sales tools target event organisers, concert halls, theatres, centres for conferences and other events, and more generally any organizations required to manage large numbers of people.
What are your prospects for growth?
With 5,000 downloads, we would like to develop across the entire PACA region and from there across France. To achieve this, we are currently running a crowdfunding campaign which, if successful, will allow us to move onto this next phase in our project.
Have you ever benefited from the network of EDHEC graduates?
We benefited from the network of graduates, who supported us at the EYE incubator. We are convinced that the EDHEC alumni network still has much to offer us going forward.
What are your expectations from the network?
For us, the EDHEC network is above all a guarantee that we will find someone to talk to and people willing to share their experience and provide us with the best possible support.

What is your initial assessment of this entrepreneurial adventure?
We started out when we were still students, and we have learned an awful lot through this endeavour. Wilout has given us a wealth of experience and the opportunity to put into practice all of the theoretical aspects we study as part of our curriculum.

What advice do you have for young entrepreneurs?
It is hard to gain credibility from the people you deal with when you’re a young entrepreneur but with a bit of perseverance it’s possible. Don’t be discouraged when you’re not taken seriously at first because...
What’s next for Wilout?
The next phase is to develop our business throughout the PACA region. We want to extend our presence across the region and offer new functions both for users and professionals.
