A career in business and technology consulting is hugely rewarding and extremely challenging, but unless you try it for yourself, it can be difficult to know whether or not it will suit you. This is precisely the point behind our Navigator Scheme - a nine-week placement with Accenture - one of the world's leading management consulting and technology services and outsourcing companies, where we help clients to become high-performance businesses by delivering innovation. Starting in September 2008, the scheme allows graduates and postgraduates to get fully immersed in our business, and experience the type of work they could be doing. You could be assigned to any part of our business, on live client-facing or internally focused projects, including software testing and research or analysing data and helping to design websites. We'll pay you £20,000 pro rata, and give you company benefits including a laptop for the duration of the scheme. Plus, if you impress us (and we impress you) we'll offer you a permanent job at the end of it. To join the scheme, you'll need to be a graduate / post-graduate, with at least 320 UCAS points and a 2:1 or above (or predicted) in any discipline. While IT skills are not necessary, an interest and willingness to learn are essential together with a strong interest in both technology and business. The closing date for applications is 25 April 2008
