Organised by the Community Engagement Committee from the EDHEC Alumni UK Board, this event is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow EDHEC alumni, hear all about the exciting events lined up for the year, and enjoy a royal surprise!

Indulge in the classic Galette des Rois (King Cake), a buttery, flaky pastry filled with almond cream, perfectly paired with bubbles as we toast to an exciting year ahead.
If you are lucky, you will find a hidden surprise in your slice, be crowned King or Queen of EDHEC Alumni UK, and receive a special gift to match your royal title.👑😊
A SLICE OF HISTORY
The tradition of the Galette des Rois dates back to the Roman era and was later adopted as part of the Christian celebration of Epiphany, marking the arrival of the Three Wise Men.
In France, the galette is enjoyed throughout January and symbolises community and togetherness. Hidden within the cake is a tiny charm or fève, and whoever finds it is crowned King or Queen for the day.
