Edhec'honneurs has just ended the rugby season with the traditional year-end meal and the Déplanche Awards, prizes that reward sport and human qualities (and sometimes weaknesses), organised in the Armagnac restaurant with 24 guests.
The highly enjoyable meal gave us a n opportunity to take stock of the 2011/2012 season for the team of EDHEC alumni rugby players. With a dozen victories under our belt and just two defeats, it was an excellent result overall. These results were confirmed during the end-of-season tournaments when the team reached the semi-finals in all 4 tournaments and won two of the tournaments.

For the first time, Edhec'honneurs played in two tournaments organised in Suresnes and in Grigny to raise money for the Enfants de l'Ovale (www.enfantsdelovale.org), the association created by Philippe Sella, former captain of the French rugby team. This marked the first stage of Edhec'honneurs’ sponsorship, which will continue in September with a Rugby and Management round table conference to be held on 20 September at 7 pm on the EDHEC campus in Paris. Edhec'honneurs has invited some prestigious guests, including Pierre Camou, President of the FFR, Eric Champ, former captain of the French rugby team, Vincent Chéney, Chairman of Warner Chilcott France, and Henri Lachmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Schneider Electric. All of the proceeds will go to the Enfants de l'Ovale (register here).

During 2012/2013, we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Edhec'honneurs. The new season is already off to a great start with the organisation of the conference, a BARGE tournament in Bayonne, a new stadium and numerous sports and social events!
