Dear Alumni, 

Are you facing challenges in your current position and would like to get support? Are you considering a career change and would benefit from advice from your peers? Are you looking for a new role or returning to work and believe in the strength of the EDHEC Alumni network to make introductions?

The EDHEC UK Alumni Career group would like to invite you to join our new:

  • Career Development Support Group to help you develop your career and manage your work/life balance.  
  • Buddy Scheme to connect you with 2 or 3 Alumni with similar interests and challenges

PRACTICAL INFORMATION ON CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT GROUP   


The Career Development Support Group is a safe space to discuss your career challenges, ambitions and work/life balance with alumni, get feedback and advice. 


The programme dates are: 

  • 28th January 2025: Kick-off session
  • 11th February

  • 11th  March

  • 1st April

  • 29h April

  • 13th May

Sessions will take place over Zoom 6:30-7:30pm (the group will agree how long these sessions should last). 


To develop the group dynamic, we would like to encourage you to attend all or most of the six sessions.


PRACTICAL INFORMATION ON BUDDY SCHEME

The buddy group will be 2-4 people belonging to a similar background who are put in contact with one another via teams /WhatsApp/ email to regularly exchange.

  • Have regular catch ups and check ins via coffee or other informal meet ups. (we can recommend 1-2 meets in a month)

Please join our Career Development WhatsApp group in the EDHEC Alumni WhatsApp community to receive updates on each session and participate in polls about the themes to be discussed. 


FACILITATORS

Bruno Vinel – Bruno graduated from EDHEC Grande Ecole in 1988 and developed his career internationally (Spain, France, Mauritius, Morocco) before moving to the UK in 2008. He led and contributed to the start or takeover of five companies as managing director or finance director, and several projects of company restructuring, cost reduction, compliance and digital transformation in the UK and abroad. In his current role at Post Office, he is developing existing and new propositions, leading the network design with 11,650 branches, and improving the customers experience with new store design and rolling out of mail automation. During his 36-year career, Bruno faced multiple challenges, including health issues, and rebounded thanks to his resilience and positive approach to career and life balance.

Ronojit Dasgupta – Ronojit did a dual masters from Edhec Business School and London School of Economics and Political Science. He has worked previously in France and Luxembourg before moving to the UK. He is currently working in Financial advisory at Grant Thornton with a range of clients in the public and commercial sector. He has gone through his fair share of challenges moving from India to France and then to the UK and these challenges have shaped his curiosity and eagerness to grow. When he is not working, Ronojit loves engaging with outdoor activities such as climbing and football. Moreover, he loves traveling and meeting people from different background and cultures.
