Marie-Laure Mazaud (EDHEC 1990), has been nominated in the finance category for the Women’s Awards 2012 from La Tribune.
EDHEC would like to provide you with a portrait of this committed woman: A career as a project finance specialist in large multinationals.
Marie-Laure is one of the women who have made decisive contributions to the development of major French exports over the last twenty years. After working in Japan as a financial analyst for Crédit Lyonnais, Marie-Laure began at Citigroup, then at Coface, where, at the age of twenty-nine, she became head of project finance. At Coface, she spurred the development of a bold policy for such large French corporations as Alstom, Bouygues, EDF, Egis, Fives, Pechiney, Spie, Technip, Total, and Vinci.
After her experience in banking and insurance, Marie-Laure began at one of her major clients, Alcatel CIT, as treasurer and head of sales financing. As of 2008, she has been at Alcatel-Lucent headquarters, where, in the face of stiff international competition, she is global head of project finance and credit.
“My major success is above all to have gotten different teams that I brought together and led to grow both individually and collectively, to get them to do more than they themselves thought possible in the implementation of internal transformations or the conclusion of major deals,” says Marie-Laure. Through her work and her recognition in the profession, Marie-Laure makes a great contribution to the advancement of women in companies. A commitment shared by EDHEC as part of its initiatives in favour of gender parity.
