The Jérôme Gayet Foundation launches its first call for projects to support innovative social entrepreneurs!
EDHEC Alumni is proud to share with you the first call for proposals by the Jérôme Gayet Foundation, whose story began in the lecture halls of the EDHEC Class of 1993 and which perfectly reflects the values of humanity, entrepreneurship and digital transformation that we all share.
Jérôme Gayet, who graduated from EDHEC with a Master’s degree in 1993, was a serial entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, international development and the digital transformation. He teamed up with his wife Anne-Laure Gayet and friend Nicolas Malo, fellow EDHEC alumni and classmates. Jérôme served as chairman of the student federation at the Catholic University of Lille, in 2009 founded B.D.C. – Digital Retail Consulting, and in 2012 co-founded the Institut du Commerce Connecté. He was a donor and active contributor to the development of entrepreneurship at EDHEC, before sadly passing away in 2019 after a long struggle with illness, but his family and friends decided to pursue his commitment to solidarity-based entrepreneurship.
The Jérôme Gayet Foundation backs social entrepreneurial projects during their early phases, offering support over an 18-month period including:
- personal mentoring
- access to a group of altruistic experts
- visibility within Jérôme Gayet’s network of top executives and entrepreneurs
- financial assistance
The primary goal of beneficiary projects will be to help those who have fallen out of the job market to find stable and lasting employment.
The call for proposals runs from 4 June to 4 July 2020. Applications can be made free of charge and are fully confidential (access to applicants’ data is restricted to the Jérôme Gayet Foundation’s selection committee). Applications will be considered between 5 July and 1 September 2020. The committee will select one or two projects and will contact the successful applicants beginning on 2 September 2020.
We need your support! Please feel free to spread the word about this call for proposals across your network. We are available to answer any questions.
