EDHEC Entrepreneurs doubles its capacity at Station F and pursues its ambitious development strategy
EDHEC Business School’s incubator, EDHEC Entrepreneurs, has been part of Station F since it first opened, and is pleased to announce that it now has 80 places in the world’s biggest campus for start-ups. By doubling its capacity, this makes it one of Station F’s leading programmes. And so begins a new phase in the development of our incubator, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The space allocated to EDHEC Entrepreneurs at Station F, which opened in July 2017, increased its capacity from 40 to 80 places in January. This latest extension means our incubator now offers a total of 200 workstations across all 3 sites: 80 at Station F in Paris, 70 in Lille and 50 in Nice. This is an indicator of the strong growth the incubator has enjoyed in recent years. In 2019, it supported 600 LAB* projects and 50 start-ups created under the STUDIO* initiative. In just 10 years, more than 300 businesses have been set up.
NEW EDHEC GEMS @STATION F :
This deployment is an opportunity to extend the support given to EDHEC start-ups experiencing growth while at the same time welcoming new projects with high potential. With some 3,000 entrepreneurs working in the same location, Station F offers an exceptional ecosystem of entrepreneurship: presence of investors, institutions (French Tech, BPI France, URSSAF, etc.), various services available (restaurant, Fab Lab, La Poste), and many free events (talks with entrepreneurs from around the world as well as meetings with investment fund managers).
A 4-STAGE PROCESS
EDHEC Entrepreneurs devised a structured and comprehensive support system, from the initial idea phase right through to business development and growth acceleration in Lille, Paris and Nice.
WHAT SUPPORT DOES EDHEC ENTREPRENEURS OFFER?
- EDHEC Entrepreneurs organises IDEATION workshops for students to help them develop their creativity.
- The LAB enables students and graduates to transform their idea into a start-up business project. With collective workshops and individual coaching sessions, they can get ready to test their business PITCH. This involves presenting their project for 5 minutes to a jury of professionals. This stage validates their admission for incubation at the EDHEC Entrepreneurs Studio.
- The STUDIO is dedicated to the development of their business with tailored coaching, theme-specific workshops and a mentoring programme in Lille, Nice and Paris (Station F). This programme offers them several advantages: the chance to connect with a community of EDHEC entrepreneurs, meet with specialized mentors, access to expertise, blended learning, partnerships and networking, etc.
- The ACCELERATOR is for their business’s group phase: support if needed for fundraising or international development.
