Around thirty Edhec and Espeme students and alumni joined us at the last Entrepreneur café held on 22 November in Nice for expert advice from our speakers on the vast topic of business funding.
Davis Jones, MBA student kicked off the evening with a presentation of Crowdfunding, in other words, raising funds through e-investors on web platforms where you can find a wide range of projects on offer: e.g., www.wiseed.com.
The system is extremely popular in the US. The French tend to use more traditional funding methods like bank loans, business venture support networks and Business Angels.
Frédéric Balussaud (Edhec 2005) explained to the audience what Business Angels do and how they work, with special focus on Edhec Business Angels (EBA). For more information, click here.
Rodolphe Lechaux and Charles Canonnier, respectively head of the individual loans market and head of the entrepreneurs centre at BNP PARIBAS bank, spoke at length about the good relations needed with bankers to develop trust in the management of all aspects of business ventures.
The last café of the year 2012 will take place on the Nice campus on 20 December, when the subject of cash flow management will be discussed. Our experts will be Daniel HAGUET, Professor of Finance and Economics at EDHEC, Alexis TOUZE, DAF from BEL AGE and a true chartered accountant professional.
