The Tech Forward incubator welcomes its first class of startups

14 February saw the Tech Forward incubator - founded jointly by EDHEC Business School, EURECOM and Institut Mines-Télécom and based in the Sophia Antipolis business hub - welcome its first class of startups to the incubation programme devised by EDHEC Entrepreneurs. 

The five companies selected - OmniShape, BedBoat, BubbleRan, StartupSim, Moabi – are all at the origin of technologically innovative products or services that respond to major challenges facing the world today (e.g. supporting the emergence of digital tools useful for business and society, placing the human aspect back at the heart of businesses, fostering a system of virtuous health, etc.). Good digital usage is central to BubbleRan, a star-up geared to reducing the carbon footprint of businesses by optimising their 4G/5G usage, particularly via the use of cloud technology. For its part, the OmniShape mobile app offers patients the chance of regaining control of their health. Co-founded with a scientist, the software rewards users with discount vouchers or non-fungible tokens, based on their regular sports activity and adoption of healthy and balanced eating habits. 

During the onboarding day, the EDHEC Entrepreneurs team presented the incubation programme’s various components to the project originators. The programme offers a full year of customised support from a programme manager, access to over 300 business experts (finance, legal, marketing, product development, etc.) and an extensive network of professor-researchers and alumni from the three institutions, as well as specific support on the startup’s overall performance (economic, social and environmental), designed to assist the entrepreneurs in developing responsible practices within their structure.
