Pursuing excellence in Finance, furthering research and developing new expertise
EDHEC-Risk: built on a decade of success
EDHEC-Risk Institute now boasts international recognition, which led to the opening of campuses in London and Singapore. Recent high-level partnerships with the Universities of Yale and Princeton will also generate new research and training activities. Rising Talents will support this expansion by funding conferences, PhD scholarships, and faculty and student mobility between these top-tier academic institutions.
Reinforcing EDHEC’s Marketing expertise
Today, EDHEC’s marketing objective is to provide students and business with courses and research based on a multidisciplinary approach that deals with complex issues linked to the impact of sociological, technological and economic consumption developments on organisations, business models and consumer patterns. After consolidating its teaching faculty and its corporate partnerships, EDHEC created the first Bonduelle marketing chair, which focuses on the impact of new technologies on brand management.
Developing new research chairs
EDHEC Business School is determined to develop research and teaching in cutting-edge areas of law, human capital, ethics, management and economics, among others. To this end, it has created specialised chairs managed by internationally reputed faculty, whose research is designed to meet both the needs and the expectations of business.
Supporting students, fostering diversity and promoting entrepreneurship
EDHEC4All: promoting cultural and social diversity through scholarships
A key challenge for all schools concerns the allocation of scholarships, whether to attract and reward top talent, to support students during their studies, or to promote cultural and social diversity. In 2011/2012, EDHEC awarded scholarships worth 2.8 M€. 450 k€ was funded by the Rising Talents campaign. The 2015 target is to triple this amount.
Promoting entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is once again centre stage for EDHEC with the creation of a business incubator, EDHEC Young Entrepreneurs (EYE), designed to foster and support business ventures. In two years, more than 20 companies have been created in a wide range of sectors, and 70 jobs have been created. Other initiatives have been launched such as the Cordées de l’Entrepreneuriat, a programme that provides support for young entrepreneurs through tutoring given by EDHEC students.
