ABN AMRO is one of Europe's leading international banking groups, operating in nearly 50 countries, and generating revenues of over €5 billion. Our investment and corporate banking arm, Wholesale Clients (WCS), serves major corporations and institutions around the globe.

We are currently offering entry-level opportunities for high potential postgraduate recruits on our Global Markets Graduate Development Programme. Our programme offers you six weeks of intensive and tailored training at our exclusive Academy in Amsterdam. Following that, you will gain a detailed insight into our Global Markets business through a rotational programme. You could work with our Rates Options and Exotics Trading team, our Fixed Income or Equities Quantitative Analytics desk or our Global Equity Derivatives teams before you specialise.

We are looking for candidates with a highly quantitative academic background ideally a Ph.D. or MSc. in (financial) mathematics, physics, computing or econometrics.

Apart from a keen interest in financial markets, you should have a pragmatic and flexible problem-solving attitude, determination to succeed and a high degree of personal commitment. Modelling or programming skills would also be beneficial, as you could be involved in modelling financial products using mathematical techniques for example.

In addition to your technical ability and strong eye for detail, you will also require excellent written and verbal communication skills to allow you to make your mark within this client-led business.

If you would like more information about these opportunities or wish to apply please visit our website:

The deadline for applications is 2 May 2005 and we will begin interviewing in May 2005.
