THE EDHEC FOUNDATION UK
VISION
Create one of the most generous alumni community of all the Grandes Ecoles in the UK by 2026.
MISSION
The UK Foundation works in partnership with the UK Alumni Association to raise funds to support EDHEC Business School to thrive in its research, entrepreneurial endeavours and student diversity.
PRINCIPLES
- Every EDHEC alumna/alumnus counts as soon as they arrive in the UK, no matter who they are and how much they give (‘no gift is too small’)
- We believe that we can only succeed by being fully integrated with our UK Alumni Association and the Foundation in France, from whom we depend for support and resources
- We are part of a strong international community and wish to learn from and collaborate with our counterparts (US, Switzerland) in order to be more impactful
- Our collective role is that of an advisory Board that makes strategic recommendations and ensures implementation, responsible for identifying & tracking KPIs/ measure of success & progress
- As trustees, we act as individual champions/role models for the UK alumni community.
WHO WE ARE
A group of EDHEC alumni, men and women who work in different sectors , who have chosen to live in the UK for many years. We are proud of what EDHEC has already accomplished and want our school to succeed in its strategic vision. SUSTAINABILITY BURSARY - EVERY DONATION IS LIKE A SEED!
As part of the "Make an impact for Good" programme, a new bursary was launched at the EDHEC RDV 2023 to support EDHEC students meeting bursary criteria and working on sustainability-focused projects. Thanks to the EDHEC Alumni UK community, £3,000 were collected and benefitted the two following students:
Adem SASSI |
Maryle Preumont EDHEC Master 2024 I would like to thank the EDHEC graduates in the United Kingdom who rallied to fund the £1500 scholarship, allowing me to fully pursue the MSc Sustainable and Global Business and grow each year as a responsible citizen. |
At EDHEC RDV London 2024, that bursary scheme was launched again. We are very grateful to the donors amongst the EDHEC Alumni UK community, and especially to the following sponsoring donors:
Laurence Alexandre, Head of Sustainable Finance UK, Societe Generale EDHEC Alumna 2010 Laurence Alexandre is currently Head of Sustainable Finance UK with Societe Generale. Previously, she held positions in Mining & Metals project finance and shipping finance, with Societe Generale and UniCredit. I am very fortunate to be in a position where I can help students finance their studies. My hope is that through my modest contribution, the students have an opportunity to study for EDHEC’s best-in-class sustainable finance diploma, which will open doors for them so that they can contribute to making our world more sustainable, fair and resilient. |
Hélène Brichet, Trustee, Non-Executive Director and Coach EDHEC Alumna 1992 Helene Brichet-Herbinet is currently a Non-Executive Director at Monument Bank, a Trustee of the UK EDHEC Foundation and an Executive Coach & Mentor. She had a 30-year corporate career in financial services, including roles as CFO, and in Strategy and Partnerships & Investments, at companies including PWC, Barclays Bank, Visa and Capital One. It feels good to donate and contribute to opening up opportunities for students into the best-in-class EDHEC sustainability programmes. My hope is that they will become the impactful leaders that the world greatly and urgently needs to sponsor, engage others and deliver awareness and solutions on Climate and Sustainability. |
Alexis de Mones, Portfolio Manager, Ashmore EDHEC Alumna 1993 Alexis has been working in London for 25 years in investment management. I have been involved with Edhec's fundraising efforts in the Uk for a decade, helping raise money for bursaries and research initiatives. I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to the Sustainability bursary, which was conceived and developed by the Alumni association. I like the fact that the bursary aligns well with the school's mission and ambitions, so it helps the school by helping the recipients! |
Estelle Levacher, Make An Impact for Good Founder For the second year in a row, we are running the Make An Impact for Good bursary, to support EDHEC students who are putting sustainability at the heart of their future career. It is a great way to do the right thing for the planet and to support the next generation of sustainable change makers. |
Mathilde Suberbère, Trustee and Finance Executive EDHEC Alumna 1988 Mathilde Suberbere currently works as trustee of a number of UK and international charitable organisations, including the EDHEC UK Foundation, and has held various finance executive roles in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. I am proud to support the Sustainability Bursaries again this year. This initiative launched last year by the UK Alumni promotes diversity and sustainability. These are essential, in my view, to make a positive impact for the future. |
Every donation for this bursary is like a seed - it may be small, but it will grow and flourish, making a significant impact on our students, our school, and the planet!
Please do not hesitate to contribute at your level. Thanks for your generosity.
