A LOOK BACK AT THE 2020 EDHEC FORUM
More than 1400 students came together at the Espace Champerret on Friday 10 January in Paris to meet with the companies in attendance at the 2020 edition of the EDHEC Forum.
This gave them the chance to establish invaluable contacts with professionals and apply for various opportunities including internships, graduate programmes, overseas volunteer work and jobs. The ideal environment to find out about businesses, learn about new roles and seize fresh career opportunities.
This year, more than 115 businesses with wide-ranging activities (finance, e-commerce, mass retailing, industry, consultancy, etc.) were represented at the forum, 20 of which operate out of Start-Up Valley.
AN UNMISSABLE RECRUITMENT EVENT AND A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP YOUR NETWORK
Pierre Libert, a Marketing Strategy manager at Disneyland Paris, told us he had enjoyed “a very positive experience at the forum, where I met many students at our stand, all of whom were very curious to learn about the company and the different positions available”.
Myriam Wanes, responsible for Junior Talent Acquisition at Kronenbourg, described “a fair that gives you the chance to meet a wide range of masters-level candidates who are very well-informed and well-prepared and have quite a clear idea of the direction they want to take, which allows us to support them a bit better during the intermediary phases before they can take up certain positions”.
This year once again, a student sponsor system was put in place at the fair.
“It’s a great system that ensures you are well received and pointed in the right direction. It was really great to be accompanied throughout the event by a student who knew an awful lot about the company”.
This is a major recruitment event, and our masters, BBA4 and MBA students, as well as our young graduates, were given the chance to explain what they’re looking for and display their finest qualities. The professionals in attendance particularly appreciated “conversations with excellent candidates, particularly with second-year masters students who were very well prepared and had good knowledge of the brand, very good interpersonal skills and asked very relevant questions” (Raquel Velasco, Campus Manager – ACCENTURE).
GRADUATES OUT IN FORCE
As in previous years, students were strongly encouraged to visit the EDHEC Alumni stand.
Volunteer staff and graduates took turns all day long, giving advice to delegates about how to prepare a networking interview and how to use the EDHEC Alumni network and services. 300 EDHEC Alumni Collector directories and 300 EDHEC business card bundles were also distributed to students who had requested them.
Many other EDHEC graduates were present at their employers’ stands to try to recruit the best candidates and reveal the role they play in their company.
Our thanks to all companies and graduates in attendance who contributed to the success of this edition.
