II / Project

Tawari.es is an online platform that directly connects producers of organic and local produce with consumers and creates a model without a middleman, which is sustainable and humane.
"Eco - meetings " which are pillars of this new model of consumption.
"Eco - meetings" are ephemeral markets in which producers deliver the products directly to the consumer that have previously purchased online.

These ephemeral markets are events that drive the neighborhood at a very local level. They help to promote access to organic products through short supply chains, but also live the community of this area. This is a whole new experience of consumption.


The Market:
The organic food market in Spain is a niche market which is expanding. This is the only area which has enjoyed sustained growth since 2012. Up to 2020 the annual growth rate is estimated at 12%.
The current market volume is EUR 1.025 billion.
There is little supply in the organic sector, and it is difficult to find organic products at affordable prices in big cities like Barcelona.

Target:
Our target is formed by different types of profiles :
- Consumer of bio products for health benefits
- Consumer for environmental reasons
- Consumer trendsetter : foodies, locavores
- Consumer trend follower
- Organic Restaurants

Team size ( and number of EDHECs )
Eva and Justine are the two founders of Tawari .
Justine studied at EDHEC and Eva Paul Sabatier in Toulouse. The profile of Justine (SEO, project management and start-up NGOs) and that of Eva (biotechnologist, and manager) complement each other perfectly for this project. They met at the University of Barcelona where they obtained masters in creation and management of innovative companies.

Capital to raise: € 300,000

Originality of the project
Tawari creates real shopping experiences in communities of consumers and producers.
This is the first website that creates substantial and direct contact with producers.
A key to this project is innovation. Innovative tools available to consumers, producers, purchasing cooperatives (AMAP) and consumers , create new synergies between them.

Growth prospects
Tawari expects rapid growth in Spain and in the Mediterranean basin . These are indeed the largest producers of organic products and the demand isn't showing signs of slowing (Spain and Italy, for example )

III / What is your expectation for the EDHEC ?

I'm looking for an investor who believes in the potential of this project and its economic, social and environmental impact. This investment will allow us to implement technological tools and our human team so that we develop faster in Spain.
