Sylvie Mouchon, EDHEC 1991, Succeeds Martin Barbier as Head of EDHEC Alumni
EDHEC Business School and the EDHEC Alumni association are delighted to announce the appointment of Sylvie Mouchon as Executive Director of EDHEC Alumni. She will take over this week from Martin Barbier, who has held the position since 2016.
A 1991 EDHEC graduate, Sylvie brings extensive experience at the intersection of strategic marketing, international development, and transformation. She also maintains a deep connection with her school — valuable assets to continue driving the association’s growth.
A rich career dedicated to marketing, international development, and transformation
Sylvie first built strong expertise in brand licensing marketing (Lacoste, Nina Ricci, Christian Dior...). She then led transformation at Alain Afflelou with the launch of Tchin Tchin, before taking charge of international marketing at Provalliance Group (Franck Provost), and later at EssilorLuxottica as VP Global Marketing, overseeing the global customer experience.
She then continued her career as Head of Gutenberg agency (Omnicom Group), transforming it into a digital content factory. More recently, she joined Galileo Global Education as Chief Transformation Officer, a position she left following a change in governance.
A strong commitment to EDHEC and its values
Sylvie has always maintained a very close bond with EDHEC, nurtured through strong friendships within her class and continuous involvement in the EDHEC Alumni association.
“By joining the EDHEC Alumni team, I am deeply committed to bringing our community — graduates and students — to life and helping it grow, in partnership with the School, the Foundation, and the association’s volunteers. I truly believe in the power of the collective and the richness of our ecosystem: together, we can rise to the challenges of a constantly evolving world.”
As the head of EDHEC Alumni, and in close collaboration with the School’s leadership, Sylvie aims to strengthen the visibility and impact of the network while giving fresh momentum to innovation and international outreach.
“We will continue the projects already underway while accelerating on future priorities, with a clear ambition: to strengthen the power and visibility of our network, foster exchanges between generations, expand our international reach, and mobilize everyone around Net Positive Business. Together, let’s make the EDHEC community shine and drive innovation for positive, lasting impact.”
Welcome, Sylvie!
