Sébastien Cucheval and Vincent Prieur create CAMPO CLUB, a five aside football and badminton complexe in Douvrin
In July 2014, CAMPO Club opened its doors in the Victor Dejong estate in Douvrin, near La Française de Mécanique, with five aside football and badminton as its main activities. It has been a success story and is enjoying rapid expansion.
A SPORTY/OUTDOORS LOCATION TO RELAX
Sébastien from La Couture (near Béthune) and Vincent from Mesnil-Esnard (near Rouen), both sons of artisan traders, completely overhauled the former canteen in the Finalens factory and used it as the site for a sports complex that is modern and dynamic, offering a warm reception and great fun!
These nature lovers set up 3 five aside outdoor football pitches, 2 of which are covered, perfectly in sync with the surrounding environment. A terrace is due to be built in the wooded 1 ha park to allow players to relax over a drink and watch other teams play their matches. And as soon as the weather is fine, open air barbecues will be held on site!
A SHARED PASSION
Sébastien Cucheval and Vincent Prieur have taken the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship. They have been football crazy since they were little kids and are now living their dream of setting up a facility with a focus on sport, and in particular five aside football and badminton.
These two young friends from ESPEME business school in Lille not only support football, they play as well! So after a run around on the outdoor football pitches or on the indoor badminton courts, the clubhouse offers a warm welcome and the chance to relax! The two entrepreneurs intend to show televised sports events in the clubhouse, starting with the games of the football World Cup in Brazil. Naturally.
BOOSTING LOCAL DEVELOPMENT
The managers of this sports complex hope to be an integral part of the local area. The region is seeing the development of important activity centres like Le Louvre Lens or the swimming pool in Les Weppes, and CAMPO CLUB hopes to contribute to this dynamic energy. Its location close to the Racing Club de Lens and the prospect of hosting the Euro 2016 football championship in France and the city of Lens together make CAMPO CLUB a significant actor in the local area. The ambitions of Sébastien and Vincent also include generating business and jobs in the region.
